ne child died and two others have been injured as a result of an apparent grenade explosion in Cibungbulang village, Bogor regency, West Java, on Thursday.
The children found the device on a hillside at around 2 p.m. and brought it home, it exploded as they were playing with it, Bogor Suryakencana Military Command spokesman Maj. Ermansyah said in a written statement made available to The Jakarta Post.
Muhammad Mubarok, 10, died at the scene.
The other two children, identified as Muhammad Doni, 14, a resident of Kampung Wangun and Khoirul Islami, 10, from Kampung Bubulak, were badly injured. (sau)
