wo people have been named suspects in a gas pipe explosion that took place in the food court of Taman Anggrek shopping mall in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.
“The questioning of 16 witnesses led to two people being named suspects in the case,” West Jakarta Police head Sr. Comr. Hengki Haryadi said on Thursday night as quoted by kompas.com.
Hengki said the two suspects worked in the engineering department of the building.
A gas pipe exploded at the mall on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
The explosion occurred in the food court, which is located on the fourth floor, with visible damage to windows.
Six people are receiving treatment at a hospital for burn-related injuries and injury from glass shards.
Forty food counters were also reportedly damaged in the explosion. (gis)
