ity-owned Depok Hospital has prepared additional patient rooms for legislative candidates who might experience stress after failing to secure seats in the upcoming election.

"Yes, [rooms] have been prepared, in line with the hospital's room capacity, " Depok Hospital spokesman Satya Hadi said on Tuesday.

He added that the hospital had a psychiatrist for people who suffered from depression or stress, including the hopeful legislators.

"[The psychiatrist] is not only for legislators who fail [in the election], but anyone who suffers from depression or any other psychological trauma."

Satya did not disclose the number of ex-candidates treated in the hospital after the 2014 legislative election.

"We don't know the number, because when we admitted patients we did not ask whether they were legislative candidates or not. We learned about their status [as candidates suffering post-election depression] from the people [media]," he said, kompas.com reported.

Satya said people who could not afford treatment at the hospital’s psychiatric polyclinic were allowed to use a relief letter (SKTM) to get free medical treatment. (sau)
