Before being assigned to manage the Jakarta Environment Agency, Djafar was head of the Jakarta Forestry, Parks and Cemeteries Agency when Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was governor in 2016.
The acting head of the Jakarta Environment Agency, Djafar Muchlisin, resigned from the position this week.
Before being assigned to manage the Jakarta Environment Agency, Djafar was head of the Jakarta Forestry, Parks and Cemeteries Agency when Basuki Tjahaja Purnama was governor in 2016.
In September 2018, during the administration of Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, he was demoted to be the deputy head of the Jakarta Environment Agency, before subsequently being named the acting head.
Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) head Chaidir said that before his resignation on June 11 Djafar was listed as a staff member of the Jakarta Social Agency.
“Djafar said he resigned of his own free will. He also said he wasn’t comfortable with the job and that his conscience and area of expertise didn’t really match with the position,” Chaidir said at the City Council building on Tuesday.
