Legal suits have been knocking on the Jakarta administration’s door ever since Governor Anies Baswedan decided to stop the development of 13 artificial islands in the Jakarta Bay last year. The city is in ongoing legal battles with four developers whose principle permits were revoked following the decision. The developers of islets M, H, F and I each filed a lawsuit with the Jakarta Administrative Court (PTUN), demanding the city void the gubernatorial decree signed by Anies on Sept. 6, 2018. Of the four, the PTUN recently rejected the lawsuit filed by PT. Manggala Krida Yudha, the developer of islet M, and ruled in favor of the Jakarta administration on Tuesday.
