KPK workers, detainee test positive for COVID-19

ine employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), one detainee and four other people at its headquarters in Kuningan, South Jakarta, have tested positive for COVID-19.
The coronavirus cluster was discovered through swab-tests conducted by the Health Ministry’s Jakarta Environmental Health and Disease Control Center (BBTKLPP).
“We have ordered self-isolation and further medical measures with the help of community health centers [Puskesmas] near the infected workers' residences to expedite their recovery.” the antigraft body wrote in a statement issued on Thursday.
“The detainee was isolated and is treated at the National Police Hospital [in East Jakarta].”
On the same day, the KPK’s medical center, with the help of the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital in Central Jakarta, had conducted swab-tests for its employees.

The commission also disinfected some of its workspaces, in addition to the Anticorruption Learning Center (ACLC) facility, while ensuring that all workers comply with health protocol.
The commission has not announced any plans to close the building in response to the findings.
Previously, the Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry closed their work facilities after some of their employees had contracted coronavirus.
