Such crimes have taken on a new formula in recent years, and the apartheid regime has exacerbated its senseless actions against the Palestinians.
recent report released by Amnesty International entitled “Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians: A cruel system of domination and a crime against humanity” states that occupation of Palestinian land and property, illegal killings, forced relocation, severe restrictions in commuting, deprivation of Palestinians from their rights and Israel’s cruel policies of segregation, dispossession and exclusion across all territories under its control clearly amount to apartheid. Israel maintains itself by flagrant violations that are considered crimes against humanity and racial discrimination.
Such crimes have taken on a new formula in recent years, and the apartheid regime has exacerbated its senseless actions against the Palestinians. Collective punishments, as the most significant factor in violating the principle of self-determination by the Palestinians, take form in the completion of a massive barrier around the besieged Gaza Strip, the expulsion and forced displacement of Palestinians, the immigration and settlement of Israelis in fertile lands, the assassination of Palestinian commanders and people and the obliteration of agricultural lands.
The project of Judaization of Quds is implemented with the continuation of Israeli settlements, devastation of Palestinian homes, upsurge of military-security presence and surveillance in East Jerusalem (Beit ul-Moghaddas), banning the commuting of Palestinian citizens living in Jerusalem, revocation of ID cards and permanent residence permits for Palestinians living in Jerusalem and separation of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
The Judaization of Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and the Negev, the trial of Palestinians in military courts and dozens of other inhumane acts are the black record of the Zionists, all of which are in violation of international laws and agreements, especially Article 43 of the Hague Convention and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Illegal restrictions on the inhabitants of the occupied territories have not only deprived the people of these areas of development, but also restricted their access to their own natural resources. The inhumane actions have continued for more than two years during the outbreak of COVID-19.
Israel has also denied entry to international aid to help the people of Gaza. All these actions have caused a humanitarian crisis and made life difficult for people in these areas.
International organizations, including the United Nations Security Council, have repeatedly called the settlement of the Zionist regime in the Occupied Palestinian Territories “illegal” and called for putting an end to it, but the development of settlements for the Zionist occupiers continues.
