The tourists, comprising 49 adults and 12 children, had been stranded in Bali since Wednesday, following the Indonesian government’s decision to temporarily halt all flights to and from mainland China.
In an attempt to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Bali immigration officials have denied entry to 17 foreigners since Wednesday. The decision was made after the authorities found that the foreigners had traveled to China within the last 14 days.
Flights to and from China have been suspended since Wednesday at Ngurah Rai International Airport as part of government measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, stranding thousands of Chinese tourists on the island.
