President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has recently issued a regulation stipulating that the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) will work directly under the President in a bid to streamline intelligence reporting, officials have said.
Sports experts have spoken out against allowing high-ranking public officials or those with strong political backgrounds to lead a sports association, arguing it could end up being counterproductive to the development of sports if the officials lack the proven track record and skill set to run any such association.
