View all search resultsPresident Joko “Jokowi” Widodo announced on Wednesday that the government will disburse Rp 2.4 million (US$161) in cash aid to micro and small enterprises starting next week to support businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bank holding and financial services company Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. has donated US$930,206 through the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help Indonesians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a joint statement, the Australian Embassy in Jakarta and UNICEF said that with the new funding, they would work together “to maintain essential health services in communities, strengthen the health system, improve basic water, sanitation and hygiene practices [and] supply critical goods”.
