Bran Stark’s direwolf on ‘Game of Thrones’ dies after its battle with cancer
Summer, the direwolf that protected Bran Stark from a series of attacks, has succumbed to its 4-month battle with cancer. The Inuit Timber Dog (whose real name is Odin) was from Ardglass, County Down, Northern Ireland, died at age 10.

Swedish-born actor Max von Sydow, whose seven-decade career saw him go from starring in iconic art-house movies by Ingmar Bergman to appearing in English-language hits including "The Exorcist" and "Game of Thrones", has died in France aged 90, his family said.
