View all search resultsThe IDI’s Bali branch had reported Jerinx - the drummer of the Bali-based punk rock band Superman Is Dead - to the police on June 16 after the musician accused the association of being “flunkeys” of the World Health Organization in a post on his Instagram account.
IDI deputy chairman Slamet Budiarto said the mudik (exodus) ban, coupled with the extension of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) currently in place in virus-plagued areas, would help clamp down on COVID-19 transmission.
In Indonesia, data shows that COVID-19 positive cases have been increasing by about 100 a day but concerns over slow testing procedures may suggest there are more cases than that recorded.
