View all search resultsThere was heavy traffic from Idul Fitri mudik (exodus) travelers on Wednesday, after days of smooth home-bound traffic was reported in the media, which has caused the buildup of traffic at five spots at the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, according to toll operator PT Jasa Marga.
The Transportation Ministry and the Greater Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) expects traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to be cut by around 2000 vehicles when the odd-even license plate policy comes into effect on March 12.
The Greater Jakarta Transportation Body (BPTJ), which falls under the Transportation Ministry, is developing a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane for public transportation, especially buses, on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to reduce traffic congestion.
