View all search resultsMitsubishi Motors Indonesia, the local arm of Japanese automotive giant Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, plans to boost the production of the Xpander, its latest low-multipurpose vehicle (LMPV), in response to high demand despite an overall sluggish outlook in the automotive industry.
Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia announced on Tuesday that it would use Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi’s small Xpander MPV vehicles for its aircrew transportation in Greater Jakarta in addition to its other leased brand vehicles.
Mitsubishi Motors has announced plans to increase production capacity at its factory in Bekasi, West Java in response to high demand, particularly for its Xpander MPV, both in domestic and international markets.
The first shipment of the Mitsubishi Xpander from Jakarta has arrived at Bauan International Port in Batangas, the Philippines, and will be ready for delivery to customers by the end of May 2018, says a statement from the Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC).
