View all search resultsThe Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) of Indonesia remains stable with 127 percentage points (PP) in the second quarter of 2018, the same as the previous quarter, according to a Conference Board Global Consumer Confidence survey, in collaboration with Nielsen.
The Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) announced on Tuesday that investment growth was recorded at 3.1 percent year-on-year (yoy) in the second quarter, compared to 12 percent yoy in the corresponding period, last year.
The Indonesian economy expanded by 5.27 percent year-on-year (yoy) during the second quarter of 2018 thanks to strong growth in consumption, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced on Monday. The latest figure was better compared to this year first quarter’s growth of 5.06 percent.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the significant increase of the Idul Fitri Holiday bonus for civil servants, military personnel, police officers and pensioners would increase consumption, particularly in middle-class households.
