JSS provides a TED-Ed style seminar for students to showcase their passions, their projects, and the impact they are making in our community. The fourth volume of the Jakarta Scholars Symposium (JSS) was held on May 28, 2025 in Soehanna Hall, offering a platform for high school pupils to showcase their latest innovations.
The government can do much in rural reform and revitalization to help the country's youth pursue their aspirations, whether they choose to contribute to agricultural and tourism development in villages, open entrepreneurial ventures or pursue advanced education to build better futures.
As Indonesia speeds along its course of pseuo-modernity toward 2045, perhaps it needs to take a "time out" to look back at its epistemic history without the colonial lens and reclaim the rhythm and ethic of timing, restraint and relational appropriateness that once underlined its identity.
