View all search resultsThe government’s preemployment card program is facing issues over low distribution in the eastern part of Indonesia, as the country continues to reel from the impact of COVID-19 on its workforce, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) data has shown.
“Before joining the preemployment program, 13 percent [of the recipients] did not have an e-wallet or access to the bank, now they do. This 13 percent amounts to around 728,000 people,” Denni said during a press briefing on Wednesday.
E-wallet platform DANA has officially become the government’s latest partner to disburse cash assistance to participants of the pre-employment card program, following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing on Wednesday.
Presidential Regulation No. 81/2020 sets the salary levels for the program’s management – comprising an executive director and a maximum of five directors – at Rp 47 million (US$3,224) to Rp 77.5 million per month.
