View all search resultsThe Indonesian Arts Coalition (KSI) has called on the government to better implement its preemployment card program for the art sector in order to help workers in the industry make ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Indonesian Anticorruption Community (MAKI) has asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to investigate the government’s preemployment card program, particularly the lack of transparency in its selection of private-sector partners.
On Friday, television journalist and tutor Prita Kusumaputri publicly called on Skill Academy to exclude her course from the package designed for preemployment card beneficiaries as she believed her course was not what people needed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The system accepted a shareholder like me. I indicated that I was an entrepreneur. I’m not someone who has lost their job nor a small entrepreneur who has lost customers,” Edy wrote as his Facebook status on Thursday.
