View all search resultsAfter months of uncertainty, the Immigration Directorate General has updated a number of regulations regarding foreigners who have been granted emergency stay permits by the Indonesian government because of travel restrictions amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Law and Human Rights Ministry’s acting director general, Jhoni Ginting, said the government would “actually extend all visitors’ visas in an emergency measure” as they might not be able to return home, while some countries were suspending travel and some airlines had temporarily stopped operating.
Starting Friday, Indonesia will suspend its visa exemption policy and bar people who have traveled to Iran, Italy, the Vatican, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom in the last 14 days from entering or transiting in Indonesia.
The Nepali government has suspended the visa-on-arrival regime for nationals of five countries - China, South Korea, Japan, Italy and Iran which were badly affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, a Nepali minister said.
