Bali’s annual Sanur Village Festival (SVF) is scheduled to take place from Aug. 9 to 13 this year under the motto of Unity in Diversity
Embracing the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity), the event will take place at the Maisonette Inna Grand Bali Beach hotel in Sanur.
SVF chairman Ida Bagus Gde Sidharta Putra said the 12th iteration would be just as festive as the previous events. In addition to Indonesian music, the event will stage culture, art performances and a food bazaar.

Ida Bagus said the Unity in Diversity motto was highly relevant today, given the increased prevalence of hate speech and violence in both the real and digital world. SVF aims to create an “awakening festival” by delivering positive messages.
“The joy and togetherness of acknowledging all the differences we have will be reflected in the stage witnessed by thousands of spectators,” he added in a press release.
The festival is open for the public from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (kes)
