View all search resultsocial media has fundamentally changed the way people look at and engage in photography. In the old days, people would take photos using a camera, have the images developed and put them in a photo album.
Today, amid the rise of Facebook and Instagram and the omnipresence of smartphones, people can easily snap a picture anywhere, anytime and upload it to social media for everyone to see, and like.
Acknowledging the importance of photography for the tourism industry, the Tourism Ministry has come up with a photography training event called “Let’s Capture.”

Slated for Thursday, the training event is to be joined by photographers from the Tourism Ministry as well as other ministries.
Renowned photographers Arbain Rambey, Darwis Triadi, Oscar Matulloh, Adek Berry,Edy Santoso, Angga Sasongko and Jozz Fellix are also invited.
“We can utilize this [workshop] to improve the coordination and skills of the ministries’ documentation teams,” said Tourism Minister Arief Yahya. (kes)
