he North Central Timor (TTU) regency in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) hosted the Wonderful Indonesia Atoin Meto TTU music festival on Monday.
The event featured a performance by The Voice Indonesia 2016 winner, Mario Gerardus Klau, which took place at the Resort TTU Insana Utara Sector Police station, directly facing Libas Island in Wini.
The show started at 10 a.m. and finished at 2 p.m. local time.

“The event is held on a weekday during market day in Wini. The market in Wini opens on Mondays and it is usually crowded with visitors from Timor Leste. The concert ends at 2 p.m. because the cross-border post [PLB] closes at 4 p.m.,” explained North Central Timor Tourism Agency secretary Yohanes.
In addition to the 19-year-old Mario, who was born in Maumere, NTT, and is very well known in Timor Leste, the concert also featured other local performers.
“Our target is to attract more than 1,000 tourists from Timor Leste; some of the visitors had even stayed overnight to watch the concert,” said the Tourism Ministry’s deputy for domestic tourism marketing, Esthy Reko Astuti. (kes)
