Tourism Ministry wins two Public Relations Media Awards 2017

ourism Ministry took home two awards at Public Relations Media Awards (AMH) 2017 that was held on Nov. 23 at Novotel Hotel Palembang.
The two awards are for the In-house Magazine Publication category and the most favorite exhibition booth at Public Relations and Public Service Expo that was held on Nov. 21 – 23 at the Palembang Sport and Convention Centre (PSCC), Palembang.
“This year’s AMH had 176 participants competing in four categories, last year’s event had seven categories,” said The Ministry’s law and public communication bureau chief M. Iqbal Alamsjah.
The Ministry’s Ragam Pesona publication was the one that won the first award, whilst the second award was the result from the three-day event in which the Ministry’s booth welcomed 1,200 visitors, whom mostly were young people.
The booth entertained visitors with activities such as coaching clinic about news production, vlog production, interactive website and travel photography.
There were also cooking and bartending demo by students of Palembang Tourism Polytechnic and games.
This year’s AMH marked the 12th anniversary of this event that was initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and Public Relations Coordinating Board (Bakohumas). (asw)
