OMO Uma Canggu, a property under the global COMO Hotels and Resorts group, is set to open its doors in February, tapping into adventure-seeking travelers in Canggu, Bali.
The third COMO property on Indonesia's resort island, after COMO Uma Ubud and COMO Shambhala Estate, COMO Uma Canggu emphasizes the company's "Uma" concept, which focuses on offering adventurous experiences and exploring local cultural destinations.
The resort offers its guests the opportunity to explore rice fields, tour local villages in southern Bali, as well as visit the breathtaking Tanah Lot Temple, which is a 30-minute drive away.

With the property situated in Canggu, one of Bali's favorite surfing destinations, the resort is also collaborating with luxury surf company Tropicsurf to manage surf coaching and guide services for guests, according to a statement.
"Guests have a choice of two waves, where professional surfers can find challenging waves, while beginner surfers can practice in the quieter waves," the statement said.
Spread across one hectare of land, COMO Uma Canggu features COMO's signature style, combining Asian and Italian design, created by Koichiro Ikebuchi and Paola Navone.
Boasting 119 units, the hotel offers 52 standard rooms and suites, as well as 55 one to two-bedroom apartments. The highlight is the 12 penthouse duplexes at the resort, each with three bedrooms and a private rooftop pool.
Other facilities at the resort include its own coast-side COMO Beach Club, which offers "New World Cuisine", creating healthy dishes from fresh local ingredients.
There is also the COMO Shambhala Retreat, a wellness facility that offers a holistic approach to healthy living, featuring a world class spa, two yoga studios, two pilates studios and a gym. (asw)
