he annual 1001 Sandalwood Horse Parade and Tenun Ikat (Woven Fabric) Festival in Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), is set to be held on July 7 to 14.
According to Antara, the event was initially slated for July 5 to 12, however the committee decided to change the date due to the General Election Commission’s (KPU) scheduled vote recapitulation meeting on July 4 to 5.

"All preparations for the parade and festival are complete; however we have to hold the events at a later date after we received information regarding the KPU meeting on July 4 to 5," NTT Tourism Agency's planning and marketing division head, Eden Klakik, told Antara in Kupang on Tuesday.
The parade of Sandalwood horses will be held in four regencies in Sumba. The event will kick off in Southwest Sumba on July 7 to 8, followed by West Sumba on July 9 to 10, Central Sumba on July 11 to 12 and East Sumba on July 13 to 14. (kes)
