The online travel agency and East Java park management company expect the new partnership to increase visitors to Batu, particularly foreign tourists.
Online travel agent Traveloka on Tuesday announced a three-year strategic partnership with the Jawa Timur (Jatim) Park Group.
The group manages recreational theme parks in the East Java city of Batu, including Jatim parks 1, 2 and 3, Museum Angkut (transportation museum), the Predator Fun Park and Batu Night Spectacular.

The strategic partnership offers several benefits to customers who purchase Jatim Park tickets via Traveloka Xperience, such as instant confirmation and ticket issuance, use of the Easy Access entry line and special travel packages called "bundling".
Traveloka Xperience product marketing head Terry Santoso said that the instant confirmation and ticket issuance allowed travelers to purchase and obtain tickets to Jatim Park destinations in less than five seconds.
Meanwhile, the Easy Access facility allows visitors to enter theme parks through a special queue.
"They need only to scan the QR code," Terry said Tuesday during a press conference at South Jakarta's Hotel GranDhika Iskandarsyah.
As for the travel "bundling", Traveloka Xperience CEO Christian Suwarna explained that the packages bundled flight tickets, accommodation bookings and other services.
Christian noted that Traveloka and the Jatim Park Group had been collaborating for around a year, and decided to take the collaboration to another level upon realizing that the two companies shared a similar vision.
The strategic partnership aimed to achieve several goals, including turning Batu into a popular destination in the country, focusing on Jatim Park attractions. It also aims to explore other opportunities to offer customers a better holiday experience.
Christian added that Traveloka operated in seven countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Australia, which made it possible to promote Jatim Park destinations overseas.
Jatim Park Group holding company expert staff Ronny Sendjojo said that the group's theme parks welcomed 4 million visitors per year, but only 5 percent of the figure were foreign tourists.
He expressed hope that the strategic partnership would result in a 30 percent increase in visitor numbers.
Director Rio Imam Sendjojo of PT Bunga Wangsa Sedjati, the parent company of the Jatim Park Group, said that the company had installed Indonesian-English signs and provided English-language training to staff at its parks to welcome more foreign visitors. (kes)
