fter launching Wi-Fi  just a few days ago, low-cost carrier Lion Air announced on Sunday its new pre-booked meal service.

The service is available on 14 routes departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, namely Banda Aceh in Aceh; Medan in North Sumatra; Batam in Riau Islands; Surabaya in East Java; Bali; Mataram in West Nusa Tenggara; Balikpapan in East Kalimantan; Tarakan in North Kalimantan; Makassar in South Sulawesi; Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi; Manado in North Sulawesi; Jayapura in Papua, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

The service is expected to expand to more routes in the near future.

Among them are a mushroom omelet with chicken frankfurter, nasi goreng telur (egg fried rice) with grilled black pepper chicken, nasi lemak ayam rendang (rice cooked with pandan leaves and served with chili sauce and slow-cooked chicken in coconut milk and spices) and nasi kuning semur ayam (yellow rice with chicken stew).
