Motorola was the first company to bring consumers the cellular phone, the flip phone and a super  thin feature phone. Now, the company is on a mission to radically transform the mobile industry once again by making quality smartphones that can do great things available to practically everyone.

Following its introduction of the Moto G a few months ago '€“ an exceptional phone at an exceptional price and now the best-selling smartphone in Motorola history '€“ the company is trying to push the boundaries of the value equation even further with the Moto E.

Available exclusively through Lazada in Indonesia, the Moto E is a new class of smartphone that'€™s fully loaded and fairly priced '€“ a perfect combination for savvy shoppers and first-time smartphone buyers.

"Moto E is an incredibly powerful smartphone designed for buyers who are price sensitive and those who have not been able to experience the Internet on their feature phones," said Motorola Mobility EMEA & APAC corporate vice president Magnus Ahlqvist.

"We have been successful in packing spectacular features at a price which we believe will be affordable for buyers in Indonesia and other emerging markets. We are focused on bringing smart solutions for real consumer problems."

According to Lazada Indonesia CEO Magnus Ekbom, the company is proud to continue its strategic partnership with Motorola Mobility CEO to bring new great products to consumers all over the country.

"We want to give people from every corner of Indonesia access to mobile Internet through a great, affordable smartphone '€“ that is just what Moto E is. There are no shortcuts to success in the competitive smartphone space and it'€™s great to see how Motorola continuous to strengthen its position. We are looking forward to a continued journey together," added Ekbom.

About 70 percent of mobile phone users in the world are still using feature phones that can'€™t unlock the full wonder of the mobile Internet; in many cases because they don'€™t think it'€™s worth the US$337 for a smartphone (the average selling price globally in 2013).

Motorola, through the Moto E '€“ which features high-resolution 4.3 inch sharp display, Corning Gorilla Glass, a water-resistant splash guard, a long-lasting 1980 mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM, 5MP rear-facing camera with Motorola'€™s streamlined camera interface, microSD slot for up to 32GB of expandable memory, built-in FM radio, dual SIM with intelligent calling and colorful interchangeable backs called Motorola Shells '€“ defies it all by offering a quality smartphone that is both accessible and affordable with a starting price as low as Rp 1,299,000 (US$108.76) on Lazada.co.id with no contract required.

To sweeten the deal for early customers that purchase a Moto E on Lazada before September 18th, Lazada will add a free Moto Shell. However, stocks are limited for each color combination.

Motorola Shells, the colorful interchangeable backs for the Moto E, can also be purchased on Lazada at Rp 149,000 each, with nine colors to choose from. The Motorola Grip Shells, which come with a rubber body protector, are also available in five colors and retail for Rp 199.000 apiece.

Lazada is also offering a three-month data bundle promo through a partnership with Telkomsel that lets Moto E users enjoy 2GB data usage for just Rp 49,000 per month.
