PRENAGEN Pregnancy Educational Journey event was held for the 10th time at the Kasablanka Ballroom in the Kota Kasablanka Mall, Jakarta, on Oct. 25.
The event aimed to educate parents-to-be to prepare their children for the future and was part of the 'PRENAGEN as the caring expert in every journey of motherhood' campaign.
A talk show with the theme, 'The golden period to prepare children for the future', was held featuring dr. Boy Abidin, SpOG and child-stimulation expert Irene F. Mongkar as key speakers.
'A child's growth and development begins from the time that he or she was an embryo. Development reaches its optimum period when children reach the age of 1,000 days or three years old,' Abidin explained.
So, it is important to optimize baby's brain development during this golden period.
A belly dance workout for moms-to-be was also held to assist expectant mothers ahead of the birthing process. A pregnancy and lactation consultation booth was also on hand to allow parents to benefit from free consultations with health experts.
