nown as the Island of Gods, Bali continues to attract tourists who marvel at the mesmerizing beauty of its environment. Many people know Bali for its beautiful beaches, but travelers also appreciate the dazzling look of the island’s pristine surroundings, which can serve as a great sanctuary for those wanting to escape from their day-to-day demands.

Ubud is perhaps the most famous place in Bali. The location is unique because it is situated between rice fields and a forest surrounded by ravines that make the open space look beautiful. Aside from the beauty of its natural setting, Ubud is also well-known for being a place where arts and culture have seemingly seeped into every element of its residents’ activities; where arts and culture are at their most progressive.

Recognizing the beautiful potential that Ubud has, Santika Indonesia Hotels and Resorts have just launched The Samaya Ubud, a villa managed under the group’s The Royal Collection line.

The Samaya Ubud is a boutique villa located in the Sayan Village, situated within 15 minutes from the city center of Ubud. The villa is equipped with a number of facilities: round-the-clock shuttle vehicles that will take you to and from Ubud’s city center with prior booking, Wi-Fi internet connection throughout the resort, a fully-equipped fitness center and a swimming pool.

Guests can also enjoy the beauty of Ubud with facilities available in The Samaya Ubud, supporting activities like cycling, trekking and morning yoga, according to a schedule already set by the hotel.

Besides that, the hotel also facilitates cooking classes that allow participants to buy their own ingredients in the nearest traditional Balinese market or pick vegetables, spices or fruits directly from the resort’s herbal garden. The cooking class is facilitated by an experienced hotel chef and concludes with participants enjoying their own creations in a lunch at the resort’s Scene Restaurant.

The Samaya Ubud combines the luxury of a villa with the natural ambiance offered by the surrounding mountains and the exotic Ayung River, with Bali’s unique hospitality embedded in every service provided in the property.

With its luxurious and spacious villas, The Samaya Ubud offers its guests privacy in an ideal place in which one can lay back in a tropical and exotic heaven surrounded by a rice field view seen from mountain valleys. Each villa is equipped with flat screen cable televisions, mini bars, iPod docks and a private Jacuzzi. Each villa also has a private swimming pool with 24-hour butler services.

Guests at The Samaya Ubud can also enjoy spa facilities inside the villa or in the spa room that overlooks the Ayung River. The spa room is complete with complementing facilities such as sauna and steam rooms as well as a Jacuzzi. In these rooms, one can hear sounds of the flowing Ayung River.

While spending their holiday at The Samaya Ubud, guests do not have to worry about limited breakfast supply during certain hours, because the villa provides round-the-clock breakfast foods served in an a la carte menu at the Scene Restaurant, where one can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the scenery of the surrounding rice fields and mountains.

Upon request, butlers will deliver food to your villa, so that you do not have to rush in the morning to get your breakfast. If you have activities outside the villa during the day, you also do not have to worry: the villa’s butlers would be pleased to prepare breakfast that you have ordered to be brought with you during your trip.

To explore different palatial experiences, the villa also offers another restaurant: the unique Swept Away Restaurant, which is located along the Ayung River, providing a direct view of the beautiful river.

The Swept Away Restaurant, which has been awarded Asia’s best fine dining restaurant in the past two years, also pampers its guests with fusions of Indonesian and Western cuisines.
