Joint RI-Japan property venture starts construction of superblock project

joint venture of Japanese and Indonesian property companies, PT Sayana Integra Properti, held a groundbreaking ceremony for superblock project Sakura Garden City in East Jakarta.
Sayana Integra Properti is a joint venture between Japanese developer Daiwa House, the Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport & Urban Development (JOIN) and Indonesian developer Trivo Group.
The ceremony, conducted on July 21, broke ground on the superblock’s Cattleya tower.
The entire project itself stands on 10 hectares in East Jakarta, with 12 condominium towers, a lifestyle shopping mall, shop-houses, premium hotel, office towers, as well as a food and beverage hub in a one-stop shopping concept.
The condominium towers will provide 5,000 apartments offering the concept of easy commuting, with easy access to all four areas of the city through railway and toll road routes, all of which are located in close proximity to the superblock.
Strong pedestrian infrastructure will be constructed around the superblock, allowing safe and convenient walking for its residents who travel back and forth to other facilities inside the compound.
The first tower comprises 28 stories with a width of 1,450 square-meters per story. The tower houses 694 apartments divided into several types: studio, studio plus, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three bedroom and garden loft.
The tower’s groundbreaking ceremony was attended by PT Sayana Integra Properti president director Nobuya Ichiki, PT Sayana Integra Properti vice president director Robert Yapari, Edward Sinanta of PT Sayana Integra Propert, East Jakarta city administration economic and development assistant Syofian Thahir, Japanese Embassy economic division staff member Tanaka, JOIN deputy managing director Kurokawa Tsuyoshi and JOIN representative Naoki Nishioka.
The vertical living project seeks to cater to the high demand among Jakarta’s ever-growing population. The superblock projects seeks to appeal to young entrepreneurs with high mobility, yet are also concerned about maintaining their quality of life.
Apartment sales began in April. Construction of the Cattleya tower is slated to be finished in 2020. The entire superblock project is slated to be finished in 2024.

Thanks to the joint venture between the Indonesian and Japanese property developers, the superblock project can benefit from Japan’s meticulous construction methodology, supervised directly by a team from Daiwa House, a Japanese company with 63 years of intensive and extensive construction experience in the real estate sector.
