Hakuhodo Indonesia was named Agency of the Year 2016 at the annual advertising festival Citra Pariwara on Friday.
This year, the competition received 948 entries, which were divided into 12 categories. As announced on Friday, Hakuhodo Indonesia took home five Best of Medium, 21 Gold, 19 Silver and 15 Bronze awards.
"They presented a lot of amazing works, which made the seven international judges agree to give the highest award [to the advertising agency]," said the award head of judges Anne Ridwan in a press release.
In addition to the Agency of the Year 2016, Hakuhodo Indonesia was also awarded Media Agency of the Year 2016.

Meanwhile, MullenLowe Indonesia was named Digital Agency of the Year 2016 and PT United Family Food was awarded as the Advertiser of the Year 2016.
Furthermore, this year, there were also special appreciation awards given by Jakarta United Indonesian Advertising Agencies (Persatuan Perusahaan Periklanan Indonesia) head Irfan Ramli to Citra Pariwara's initiators, Baty Subakti and Henry Saputra.
"[We hope] Citra Pariwara will be the first part of the selection process to choose [which local] works will compete in international events. Hopefully, the winner can meet the expectations," said the award's committee chairman Elwin Mok. (asw)
