Kids love being active and parents can channel that enthusiasm into educational yet fun activities.
From yoga and cooking classes to arts and music lessons, below are a few recommendations for places that offer such programs for kids.
LaLaLand Kids Yoga
Established in 2004, this place provides classes for kids to learn yoga in a fun way, while also improving their focus and flexibility.
In addition to a regular yoga classes for 4-9-year-olds, LaLaLand also offers mother-and-child classes for 2-4-year-olds and themed holiday classes such as the Dinosaur Holiday program and Halloween-themed yoga where the kids can wear cute costumes. With starting prices of Rp 100,000 (US$7.60) per child, the classes are available for a maximum of 16 persons. As for the language used, they can be adjusted to the children's needs and offer Indonesian as well as English.
Following its first opening in Cilandak, South Jakarta, LaLaLand has recently opened a new branch in Bintaro, South Tangerang.

Cinemaxx Junior
There are many movies made for kids but there have not been any cinemas around dedicated to them. Until now.
Equipped with tube slides, a flying fox, a giant trampoline and a toddler area in addition to the usual large screen, Cinemaxx Junior allows 3-10-year-olds to stay active while watching movies. Its seating area is also varied, from sofa beds and bean bags to loungers and regular cinema seats; each have different prices, which start from Rp 100,000.
While enjoying the movie, the young moviegoers can also savor some kid-friendly meals such as fish and chips and ice cream, and bring home attractive merchandises.

KokiKecilku
Those familiar with the MasterChef Junior television series might get the idea that cooking for children is more than just about creating a delicious dish. They can also learn about cooperation and independence as well as enhancing their creativity, visual perception and social skills.
At KokiKecilku, each kid is required to cook on their own, without being accompanied by their parents. All the ingredients and equipment will already be available at the class and the participants can later bring home the results of their cooking as well as the recipe.
The program offers various classes including a Little Chef class for 3-6-year-olds and a private class that also caters to kids with special needs. With a starting price of Rp 250,000 each class can accommodate around 8 to 10 kids.
KokiKeciku has reportedly collaborated with psychologists to ensure its curriculum is suitable for children and those spending a year in the program will later be evaluated to see their progress in skills and behavior.

Music Temple
Guitars, drums, pianos, violins, saxophones and trumpets are just some of the instruments provided for kids to learn here. Since it focuses on private classes, which are offered at a starting price of Rp 175,000 per 30 minutes, students from as young as 5 years old will be able to master the instrument they prefer more easily. The classes can also be taught in both Indonesian and English, depending on the children's needs.
Between November and December, Music Temple annually holds a recital for the students to show their ability and talent playing instruments on stage.

Hadiprana Art Centre
Established in 1998, this place is suitable for kids who want to learn more about arts. Especially for children between 2 and 12, crayon and drawing classes are available to choose from to improve their art skills as well as escalate their creativity and self-motivation.
There is no special requirement for kids to enroll at Hadiprana, but they will be required to bring their own drawing equipment. Kids younger than 5 years are also allowed to have their parents accompany them. Each class, which has an entrance fee of Rp 300,000 and a starting rate of Rp 900,000, can accommodate up to 10 students and provide both Indonesian and English.
