hose who find Japanese horror movies entertaining can rejoice as the latest trailer for Sadako Vs Kayako has just been released.
Directed by Koji Shiraishi, the upcoming movie will excite fans of Hideo Nakata's famous 1998 horror movie Ringu and the 2002 hair-raiser Ju-On: The Grudge, directed by Takashi Shimizu.
And yes, as the title suggests, both of the aforementioned movies' spine-chilling ghosts, Sadako and Kayako, can be found in the new film, and will apparently fight each other. Kayako's son, Toshio, also appears in the trailer. The new film promises a nerve-racking experience for all involved.
For those of you who have not watched any of the previous films, Ringu's story lingers on a mysterious video tape that, if you watch it, will shorten your life into just seven days because it is haunted by the ghost of Sadako. Meanwhile, the terror in Ju-On comes in the form of a cursed house following a murder that involves Kayako. Both movies, as well as their sequel and prequel, were so popular that they were remade into Hollywood films.
Sadako Vs Kayako is scheduled for release on June 18. The trailer can be seen below. (kes)
