Twitter users can retweet and quote their own tweets. The update was made available starting on June 14.

Twitter’s official update:

Using this feature, users are now able to quote their own tweets without needing to first copy and paste manually, nor copying the link for their previous tweet. The new tweet works just like the regular retweet feature, by clicking the retweet button.

The update has been met with a variety of responses. While some shows their appreciation, some prefer the edit feature.

Con:

On June 13, Twitter also updated its blocking feature. This update means that those accounts blocked by a Twitter user will be unable to view a tweet, retweet and or quote a tweet made by the user who has blocked them, and vice versa. Prior to the update blocked users and those whom had blocked them were still able to view each others activity through third party tweets. (asw)
