Ryu Jun Yeol

Although not a familiar figure in dramaland before, Ryu Jun Yeol is rising steadily to become one of Korea’s hottest heartthrobs following his recent role as Jung Hwan in Reply 1988. Before he rose to fame through that drama, the 1986-liner had starred in some independent movies including Socialphobia. He just finished playing the role of Je Su Ho, the CEO of a gaming company, in Lucky Romance.

Jang Hyuk

It is safe to say that Jang Hyuk is the one with the greatest portfolio among Korean heartthrobs on screen right now. Born in 1976, he has acted in various genres. Some of his most notable appearances were in The Slave Hunters (2010), The Flu (2013), Iris II (2013) and Fated to Love You (2014). Presently, he is starring in Beautiful Mind as Lee Young Oh, a neurosurgeon that has zero sympathy.

Kim Rae Won

Next to Jang Hyuk, there is fellow veteran Kim Rae Won, who currently stars in Doctors as Hong Ji Hong, the mentor of Park Shin Hye in the drama. Earlier in his acting career, he starred in Life is Beautiful (2001), Love Story in Harvard (2004), Punch (2014), Gangnam Blues (2015) and many more.

Yoon Shi Yoon

After finishing his mandatory military service, actor Yoon Shi Yoon is finally back on the drama screen as Heo Jun in Mirror of the Witch. Prior to his service, the baby-faced 1986-liner rose to stardom with his role as Kim Tak Gu in the drama King of Baking, Kim Tak Gu (2010). He is also famous for his role in Me Too, Flower! (2011), Flower Boys Next Door (2013) and Prime Minister & I (2013).

Namgoong Min

The kind, soft-looking Namgoong Min shredded his delicate image when he played the coldblooded villain Nam Gyu Man in Remember – War of The Son (2015) and Kwon Jae Hee in The Girl Who Sees Smells (2015). Even though his evil in the dramas rendered some fans speechless, recently he found his way back to romance with his role as Ahn Dan Tae in Beautiful Gong Shim.

Kim Woo Bin

Kim Woo Bin has just returned to the small screen as the male lead of Uncontrollably Fond. Prior to this, Kim, who is nicknamed the ‘dino guy’ was famous for his roles as Choi Young Do in The Heirs (2013) and Park Heung Soo in School 2013. (kes)
