A movie based on the late wife of Indonesia’s third president, BJ Habibie, is set to be released soon.
Habibie said the upcoming movie, titled Ainun, may be released in around a year-and-a-half following many requests from the public.
Previously two films based on Habibie's own life journey have been released, namely Habibie & Ainun (2012) and Rudy Habibie (2016). The former follows the beginning of his relationship with his then to-be wife, Hasri Ainun, while the latter serves as a prequel, exploring Habibie in his youth prior to meeting Ainun.

Habibie is hopeful that these films will serve as a memory for his family to cherish one day.
"I would like to see my children and grandchildren see the true story of their father and grandfather,” said Habibie as quoted by tempo.co on Monday, adding that he also wants to encourage Indonesian people to appreciate and enjoy more local films instead of foreign movies. (kha/kes)
