n the wake of the recent launch of a feature similar to Snapchat "stories", which are only available for 24 hours, Instagram is releasing a feature similar to another well-known app, namely Event channels on its Explore page.
While Snapchat allows users to post Snaps during an event with its own unique geotag, Instagram's new video channel allows people to see events others are sharing for the whole world to see, including concerts and sporting events.

“Like the rest of Explore, this new channel is personalized for you and highlights events you might like," the company stated on its official blog.
As for now, this update in the Explore page remains exclusive to the US for both iOS and Android users. Users are expected to solely Instagram, thanks to these new features that make it almost indistinguishable from Snapchat. (kha/kes)
