Scriptwriter of MBC‘s fantasy TV series “W” revealed what the single letter meant on Monday.

The author Song Jae-jung gave two explanations.

The first explanation Song gave was that “W” stands for “who” and “why,” as they are the two key questions Kang Chul is seeking to answer after his family was assassinated. Kang is played by actor Lee Jong-suk.

Song also explained that “W” means “Wonder World,” especially from surgeon Oh Yeon-joo‘s perspective. Oh, played by actress Han Hyo-joo, abruptly enters the bittersweet world of the Webtoon that her father created, like Alice in “Alice in Wonderland.”

The revelation came as he announced that he will release the scripts in their entirety on the MBC‘s bulletin board Monday.
