A movie inspired by the late music legend Chrisye is set to feature Vino G. Bastian in the lead role.
Director Rizal Mantovani said it was not easy to decide who would portray the singer. "It was a really difficult [decision]. We finally chose Vino after a very long process, as not just anybody can portray Chrisye," he said after a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.

Rizal said he witnessed how passionate the husband of actress Marsha Timothy was about taking part in the biographical movie. "For us, passion is very important to be able to portray a public figure and Vino has it."
Produced by MNC Pictures and Vito Global Visi, filming for the movie, titled Chrisye, is slated to begin early next year. (kes)
