Action or drama, mutant or alien, apocalypse or the past, whatever your taste is, here are six not-to-miss movies, unless you live in Alderaan.
This month we have been bombarded with a series of trailers for movies set to be released this December or in 2017.
Whatever your taste is -- action or drama, mutant or alien, apocalypse or the past -- here are six not-to-miss movies, unless you live in Alderaan.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
It's Star Wars, what else do you need to know? Epic score, strong female characters, Stormtroopers, quotable lines, adorable droids and the Death Star make an appearance in the new movie, released Dec. 16. Even better, Darth Vader is set to make a reappearance.
Rogue One is not a sequel to the 2015 Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, but a stand-alone set in the timeline near the original trilogy (Episode IV to VI, for those who are not familiar with the Star Wars universe).
Assassin’s Creed
All gamers rejoice! Ubisoft's popular game franchise Assassin's Creed is coming to the theaters on December 21. Set in the Spanish Inquisition, the movie offers amazing visuals for gamers who want to see their hero climbing and jumping off rooftops.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
The story of Alice in zombieland will finally end in January 2017. Alice, tired of running and killing, will change her fate by not-so-much running and very-much killing.
Like its predecessor, the sixth installment of Resident Evil franchise is action-packed, with guns, fire, bombs and all the likes.
Logan
The last Wolverine movie is finally here. Jonny Cash's "Hurt" really sets the tone of the trailer, leaving us wondering what will actually happen in the R-rated movie. Old man Logan is on a mission with the help of his female clone. We include the UK version of the trailer, which is six seconds more mesmerizing.
Until its release next year, you can find more clues at the movie's official Instagram account, @wponx.
Guardians of The Galaxy: Vol. 2
Tired of listening to "Hooked on A Feeling"? Worry not, Awesome Mix Vol. 2 will make you dance in May 2017 along with the movie sequel.
Marvel has just dropped a teaser poster and sneak peek of the upcoming sequel, which it claims will contain different parts than the yet to be released trailer.
Barry
Barrack Obama is not only an important figure in international politics, he's also an inspiration of many movies. After Indonesian-made Obama Anak Menteng in 2010 and the more recent romance Southside With You, now we are presented with Barry.
The movie tells the story of young Obama "before he gave hope" and "created change". And, "Yes, we can!" watch the movie on Netflix in December 2016. (kes)
