lmost a year after unveiling the high-end Android-based flip phone W2016 in China, Samsung has released a successor to the product W2017.
Similar to the W2016, the new W2017 features top-end specifications in a clamshell design, and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 that is supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage upgradable via a micro SD card, as reported by gsmarena.com.
The device comes with two 4.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreens, one on the outside and on the inside. It also carries a 12-megapixel main camera with 4K video recording support, while selfies can be taken with its front 5-megapixel snapper.

Weighing 208 grams, the phone works on 4G networks and has 2,300 mAh battery. Complete with wireless charging technology, it is also facilitated with a finger printing scanner.
Samsung has not announced the price of the flip phone yet, which will soon available in China. However the price is estimated to be US$2,953 US dollars, far more expensive than the W2016 that was priced at $1,476. (mra/kes)
