The Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, will host a big-bike exhibition on Feb. 22-26, 2017.

Said to be the first ever big-bike show in the country, Big Revv ID will feature communities and lifestyle related to motorcycles with engine capacities of more than 400cc, such as custom and classic shows, riding gear, apparel, parts, accessories and gadgets.

"The industry dynamics of big bikes in Indonesia are unique and interesting. In 2016, up to 21 brands were marketed in Indonesia," said the event's project manager Youlanda Motoh in a press release on Monday. "Our focus is to exhibit and sell motorcycles with engine capacities of more than 400cc from around the world, including the US, Europe and Asia."

The event is also expected to offer music performances and advice on the regulations on SIM C1 and C2 driver's licenses, which are required for those driving motorcycles with engine capacities of between 250-500cc and above 500cc, respectively.

Christian Sinaga, the president director of promoter PT Hasta Karya Persada, has yet to reveal the names of the motorcycle companies that will participate in the event, but out of the 21 brands, he stated that about 50 percent of them had shown an interest in taking part, as reported by kompas.com.

The entrance fee for the show will be set at Rp 40,000 (US$3) on weekdays and Rp 50,000 on weekends. (fmn/kes)
