As Marvel’s Black Panther is set to start production in early 2017, updates regarding the movie have begun to circulate.

As reported by movieweb.com, the studio is said to be looking for black actors and actresses ranging from the ages of 18 to 90, whom are required to submit portraits of them outfitted in African wardrobe and tribal garment. Roles for actors and actresses of Korean and Filipino descent are also available for those between the ages of 18 and 80, "ranging from wealthy types to all types for a street/market scene."

Furthermore, it is also seeking drummers and martial artists experienced in mixed martial arts, boxing, wrestling, military arms and swordsmen, as well as clean-cut men and women between the ages of 30 and 50 who are experienced in roles as “CIA agent types” and specialized in operating firearms.

In addition to Chadwick Boseman returning as T'Challa, the film, directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station), has revealed other notable cast members, including Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and Forest Whitaker.

The Black Panther/T'Challa was last seen protecting Captain America/Steve Rogers and Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes from the authorities. In a post-credit scene, audiences were given a clue that Barnes had been taken to a secret facility in Wakanda, Black Panther's home, by Rogers, suggesting this is where the upcoming movie will pick up.

Black Phanter is slated for release on Feb. 16, 2018. (fmn/kes)
