S actor Alec Baldwin has responded to president-elect Donald Trump’s angry tweets that criticized the late-night comedy showcase Saturday Night Live (SNL). In the show’s latest sketch, which was set after the election, the billionaire businessman was, again, impersonated by Baldwin.
I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show - nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?

I’d be focused on how to improve the lives of as many Americans as possible,” wrote Baldwin on his Twitter account. Moreover, he tweeted, “Equal time? Election is over. There is no more equal time,” as he responded to Trump’s question, asking for “equal time for us”.
Baldwin also posted a series of tweets to Trump about his “advice” on running for president, as well as telling him to “shift his focus away from SNL and toward his presidential duties ahead”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

During the sketch, Trump was portrayed as nervous and ridiculous, if not incompetent. “Google, what is ISIS?”, he asks, then moves to iPhone’s Siri to find out how to kill ISIS, before realizing that he is holding a BlackBerry. The sketch's video can be watched on SNL's official Facebook account and has been viewed by over 8 million people.
Apart from his strategy on fighting ISIS, the sketch also highlighted Trump’s Cabinet, his meeting with Mitt Romney, ObamaCare, Hillary Clinton and the recent Hamilton incident involving vice president-elect Mike Pence. The sketch also starred Kate McKinnon and Jason Sudeikis.
Baldwin has appeared as Trump on other SNL episodes prior to the election, in which McKinnon played Clinton. (kes)
