A

n exhibition on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will run until Jan. 8 at the Pacific Place shopping mall in South Jakarta, as the much anticipated movie is slated to premiere on Dec. 14 in local cinemas.

At the mall's main atrium, visitors can expect to see a 7.5-meter high AT-ACT walker installation as part of the exhibition. "The replica is in 1:3 scale," said Pacific Place Jakarta assistant vice president of leasing and marketing Markus C. Barata during a press conference.

Walt Disney Company Indonesia studio marketing head Fitra Rifai said the company was also collaborating with five local artists, namely Sanchia Hamidjaja, Angga Kims, Aidil Fakhri, Nurfadli Mursyid and Naela Ali, as part of the movie promotion. Each of them participated in a Stormtroopers helmets challenge by designing helmets based on their personal experiences. All of these helmets were exhibited during the event.

Visual artist and illustrator Sanchia Hamidjaja said her design was created in collaboration with her daughter. Meanwhile, graffiti artist Angga Kims shared that his helmet portrayed his journey in the Indonesian graffiti industry.

The exhibition is also supported by the 501st Legion Indonesia costume club. Every weekend, except Christmas day, mall visitors can take pictures with the club members, who take on roles as stormtroopers and Darth Vader, after donating to the Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAAN) and Lovepink social movement community.
