A Palestinian choir group held a Christmas concert and sang Christmas songs in Arabic in some parts of Indonesia.

In North Sulawesi, on Monday, the event was hosted by one of Manado's shopping malls.

"In addition to the [concert by] Bethlehem Bible College choir, the Palestine Ambassador for Indonesia will also visit North Sulawesi," Indonesian Inter-Church Council (Bamag)'s secretary general Hence Bulu told The Jakarta Post in Manado on Saturday.

Hence said the Bethlehem Bible College has held the Christmas concert since Dec. 9 in several regions, like Jakarta and Bali.

According to a press release, the concert was part of cultural cooperation between Bethlehem Bible College and STT Global Indonesia higher education, which was signed in early 2016.

A representative from the Palestine Ambassador for Indonesia, Taher Hamad, said, "The concert sang Christmas songs in Arabic and not other languages because Jesus was born in the land of Palestine." (kes)
