On his Twitter account @pinotski, the artist asked his followers to vote for him. He promised that if he comes out as winner, he will go up on stage wearing traditional Javanese attire, lurik (striped woven fabric) and blangkon (Javanese head cloth) during the awards ceremony, which is slated to take place in New York, United States, in April.

Those who are keen to vote for Pinot can log on to the awards' official website and register their Facebook account or email address.

In addition to stop-motion videos, Pinot has also produced an "Om Telolet Om" meme and the parody of local movie Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2 (What's Up with Cinta). He told The Jakarta Post via email that he was happy to create videos for social media users since the expectation was not as high as working with clients. (kes)
