TechRadar reports that not all users may get the update automatically and may be required to manually download the YouTube 1.09 app to enjoy a “PlayStation VR version” mode as opposed to the “normal version” where users will simply have a virtual widescreen from which to watch YouTube content.
PS VR is in an interesting position of being more affordable than its PC counterpart, and is already well supported by a commendable catalogue of game titles. Opening up more free content that users can enjoy on the net just makes the deal a little bit sweeter.
