ali-based jewelry brand John Hardy has introduced its Spring 2017 collection, which features gemstones, contemporary silhouettes and an assortment of metals.
Launched for both men and women, John Hardy is said to embrace the nature of duality in the latest collection. The Bamboo collection, for instance, symbolizes the dualism of day and night, light and water, as well as surrender and strength. It consists of bangles, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings that follow the body contour.
In the Modern Chain collection, the brand symmetrically entwines individual links with diamonds in a combination of silver and gold, such as the Gold Modern Chain Necklace with Diamonds, which is made from 18 karat gold. Meanwhile, in the Classic Chain collection, it unites hand-woven silver, as well as gold and ‘Dot’ combined stones with metal and wood. One of the examples is the Dot Silver Small Oval Hinged Bangle that merges sterling silver with ebony wood.

In the Legend collection, John Hardy aims to cater to pearl enthusiasts by incorporating centuries-old pearls with moonstones inspired by mythical animals, naga (dragon), macan (tiger), cobra and eagle. The Legends Cobra Silver Earrings on French Wire item, for instance, comes in opal, black sapphire and black spine in sterling silver.
The jewelry brand also launched a men’s collection that still maintains the duality, which is visible from the collection’s double-sided amulets from metallized snake wood.
Established in 1975 and named after its founder, John Hardy, the company is known for its handcrafted jewelry. The brand is available in 600 retail locations across 27 countries, such as Bloomingdales, Isetan, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sogo and other jewelry retailers worldwide. Among international celebrities who have worn its pieces are Emma Watson, Zayn Malik, Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid and Andreja Pejic. (kes)
